FCTE represents personal, business, foreign-national and institutional vehicle ownership for Lagos through one coherent ownership model. The public page shows semantic owner types rather than the physical table design.
It sits alongside, not inside, Transport → (the commercial danfo/bus fleet and its trips) and the government-only Fleet → domain — three distinct public domain responsibilities answering different mobility and ownership questions.

Every public claim below is grounded in the certified Vehicles release and city-specific calibration evidence. Vehicles is intentionally focused on ownership and lifecycle context rather than exposing its physical design.
Synthetic personal ownership connected to an eligible adult context. Exact penetration rates and demographic adjustments are controlled.
Synthetic business ownership represented for active firms. Exact ownership propensity is controlled.
Synthetic ownership for eligible foreign-national contexts, calibrated by resident category. Exact category rates are not public.
Institutional ownership context for public, diplomatic and nonprofit entities, represented semantically.
Some synthetic owners hold more than one vehicle, with diversity across vehicle classes. Exact rate and assignment logic are controlled.
Make, Model, VehicleClass, EngineSizeCc, FuelType, YearOfManufacture, RegistrationDate, PlateType and PlateNumber — one real row per vehicle, not an abstraction over a fleet.
Synthetic by design: FCTE vehicle ownership records are analytical representations of a plausible ownership pattern. They do not represent actual registered vehicles, actual owners, or actual license plates.
Transport represents commercial service vehicles, while Vehicles represents personal and institutional ownership and Fleet represents government operational assets. These are separate semantic responsibilities. Direct physical road-network traversal remains outside the current public release — see Roads →.
No downloadable public sample is listed for this domain and city. Use the detailed guide and evidence to assess the available coverage.

Representative public fields: owner category, geography, vehicle class, make/model, fuel context, manufacturing period and registration period. The complete physical field dictionary is available only through controlled technical review.
Each synthetic vehicle resolves to one owner context—individual, business, foreign-national or institutional—and release certification verifies that the ownership shape remains coherent. The exact physical constraint definition and field-level design are intentionally not published.
The public release reports ownership-integrity outcomes without exposing the physical constraint recipe.

A representative semantic vehicle record. Physical field layout, generation model formatting and ownership probabilities are intentionally not published.
Multi-vehicle ownership is represented as a calibrated synthetic behavior, with class diversity enforced at outcome level. Exact probability, randomization and assignment logic are controlled.

The Lagos release runs the shared private-vehicle generation model, with the same default parameters. What differs is Lagos's real plate convention and its real government vehicle-registration evidence.
Vehicle-class and fuel-type mixtures are calibrated by owner context. The public release reports resulting distributions and certification outcomes rather than the generation model weights.
Neither benchmark recalibrates PrivateVehicle's ownership rates above — both are national, not city-specific, and Nigeria's 57.5% "Commercial" share almost certainly reflects the PSV/danfo fleet already modeled separately in Transport, not this domain's much smaller Business OwnerType. See Limitations below.

Vehicles was the newest implemented release entity in this catalog without its own certification battery. As of 2026-08-06 that gap is closed: a dedicated 10-check PASS/FAIL battery runs live against Lagos release, and all 10 checks pass in Lagos.
Release checks cover ownership categories, single-owner consistency and unique registrations.
Vehicles now has a dedicated release certification battery covering volume, ownership-category coverage, ownership integrity, registration uniqueness, chronology and second-vehicle plausibility. All published checks pass for Lagos.
Vehicles' release history doesn't yet record the original 2026-07-26 PrivateVehicle addition or the 2026-08-01 multi-vehicle extension — a real, disclosed documentation gap that remains open.
Published release reference · These recorded checks are not a current rerun.
Registration dates preceding manufacture remain a disclosed failure. Ownership transfers and operating histories are absent. Plates are illustrative; national stock proportions are not Lagos benchmarks. Vehicle additions and checks are not yet integrated into Transport release history and totals.
What's still missing: neither the original 2026-07-26 PrivateVehicle addition nor the 2026-08-01 multi-vehicle extension has been logged in Transport's own release history yet, and this battery has not yet been folded into Transport's own published check count.
A PrivateVehicle row is created once, at acquisition, and never reassigned. Transport's own page already discloses "Ownership changes (transfer/resale of a private vehicle)" as Planned, not built — the same gap applies here since it's the same table.
The real NBS/FRSC Q4 2018 split (41.17% Private / 57.50% Commercial / 1.28% Government / 0.05% Diplomatic) is a national stock figure, not Lagos-specific, and its large "Commercial" share almost certainly reflects the PSV/danfo/bus/keke fleet already modeled in Transport — not a benchmark for this domain's Business OwnerType without first apportioning the two populations apart, which has not been attempted.
Lagos's generated plates use an "LI"-style prefix as a readable stand-in for a real state-of-registration convention — disclosed as illustrative, not a faithful FRSC plate-format reproduction.
PrivateVehicle captures ownership, plate and identity attributes at registration — it does not track odometer readings, service history, roadworthiness inspections or accident history for personally-owned vehicles.
confirmed in the published source: 15,837 of 1,011,709 Lagos PrivateVehicle rows (1.57%) have a RegistrationDate earlier than YearOfManufacture. Nairobi currently has no violations of the same check.

A real, DOB-eligible domestic owner in dbo. Citizen — the same identity used across every other domain.
A real PrivateVehicle row, Petrol, registered 2025-04-12 — published on Lagos.
This is a private, citizen-owned vehicle in transport. PrivateVehicle — distinct from government fleet vehicles, which live in their own domain. See Fleet → for that story.
What a commercial operator's vehicle does day-to-day — the trips, the routes, the fares — is told on Transport → , not here.
Employee → Driver → Vehicle → Fuel & Maintenance — one government's own vehicle operation, honestly scoped.
